Weapons are twice more common than armors and class specific armor pieces are 3 times less common than normal armor pieces. I suggest socketing the Shield with the Larzuk quest rewards and using the cube recipe on the swords. If not, simply finish the game, do some countess runs, grab the rune (~1:20) then you can go back to farming XP in normal. It's quite high so you're relying purely on luck there. If you want to be certain you're getting the correct base you can farm the Cow Level on normal and you'll get ilevel 28 items.Īs for the runes, Amns can start dropping from Act 4 normal. For swords also make sure they're not over over ilevel 40 or else Larzuk will give it 6 sockets. If you're using pluggy look for items that are over ilevel 25. Most plain paladin shields and crystal swords that you find in Act 4 and onwards will automatically get 4 sockets from Larzuk and can get 4 sockets with the cube recipe.
